The Compact for Global Production of Safe Health and Beauty Products is the platform for companies to create and manufacture cosmetics and personal care products anywhere in the world that meet the formulation standards and deadlines set by the European Union Directive 76/768/EEC. Under this directive products are to be free of chemicals that are known or strongly suspected of causing cancer, mutation or birth defects.
